Job summary

Entergy in Louisiana is seeking a Senior Manager, Grid to lead the Substation Grid organization, ensuring safe operations and reliable transmission assets. The role focuses on inspection, maintenance, outages, and capital projects under $250K, with support for energizing new lines and equipment.

You will oversee a team of engineers and craft personnel, manage budgets, and collaborate across engineering, finance, and field operations to meet regulatory requirements and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or a related field or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years in the utility industry or equivalent, with engineering or operational experience.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of budgets, finance, and project execution.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for substation field operations and safety.
• Manage capital and maintenance budgets to meet project goals and customer satisfaction.
• Supervise engineers, field staff, and support personnel with coaching and development.
• Coordinate with engineering, finance, asset planning and other functions to meet regulatory and reliability objectives.
• Lead teams on improvement projects, regulatory filings, safety, and cost-control efforts.
