Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA is seeking a Program Supplier Quality Engineer to serve as the primary interface between the supplier base and internal stakeholders on critical and technically advanced programs. This onsite role involves ensuring supplier quality and adherence to program requirements.

The candidate will lead root-cause analysis, drive continuous improvements, and apply APQP processes, with travel up to 25% to support supplier activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and 5+ years in quality engineering, manufacturing, or related field.
• Strong experience with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Experience with quality standards including ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9145.
• Ability to interpret schematic drawings and perform hardware inspection.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flow down of product requirements to internal teams and to sub-tier suppliers via PO requirements, Quality Notes, and supplier statements of work.
• Interpret program requirements to ensure supplier understanding and compliance.
• Drive continuous product/process improvements of the supply base using Six Sigma and Lean methodologies.
• Apply APQP processes related to supplier performance and engagements to improve supplier manufacturing processes.
• Travel up to 25% to support supplier assessments, audits, and reviews.
• Represent quality during reviews of supplier designs, process changes, qualification tests, and procedures.
