Job summary

RTX in Goleta, CA seeks a Program Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure supplier quality, manage program requirements, and drive continuous improvement. The role focuses on coordinating with internal teams and supplier bases to meet demanding DoD standards and project schedules.

The position requires a DoD Secret clearance, five years of relevant experience, and strong knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100. Onsite work in Goleta with travel up to 25% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years in quality engineering or related field.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience with ISO 9001, AS9100 and AS9145.

Responsibilities

• Ensure flow down of product requirements to sub-tier suppliers.
• Interpret program requirements to ensure compliance with these quality requirements.
• Drive quality, cost and schedule performance with suppliers.
• Lead corrective actions using Six Sigma and Lean tools.
• Apply APQP processes related to supplier performance.
• Travel up to 25% for supplier assessments.
• Represent quality in reviews of supplier designs and processes.
• Interface with the Goleta program team onsite.
