Job summary
Strive Pharmacy is seeking an Automation Engineer (BMS) to design, implement, and maintain the BMS/EMS in a GMP pharmaceutical facility. You will assure HVAC systems, cleanrooms, and utilities operate under FDA and EU guidelines with validated processes.
Responsibilities include programming PLC/SCADA, maintaining HMI visuals, and supporting GMP data integrity through change control and IQ/OQ activities. Onsite in Alachua, FL with a comprehensive benefits package.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 3–5+ years in automation/controls within GMP pharma/biotech.
- Experience with BMS platforms and industry-standard protocols.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, and commission PLC, DDC, and SCADA control logic for facility utilities.
- Manage BMS/EMS architecture and device communication with central server.
- Develop and maintain graphics/HMI screens for real-time facility monitoring.
- Ensure GMP compliance and data integrity per 21 CFR Part 11 and GAMP 5.
- Lead investigations for environmental excursions and validate software/hardware changes.
- Author FDS/SDS and collaborate on IQ/OQ for software upgrades.
- Oversee vendor activity and perform sensor calibration and loop tuning.
