Job summary

Strive Pharmacy is seeking an Automation Engineer (BMS) to design, program, and maintain the Building Management and Environmental Monitoring Systems in a GMP pharmaceutical facility. You will ensure HVAC systems, cleanrooms, and utilities operate within validated state under 21 CFR Part 11.

The role requires 3–5+ years in GMP automation, expertise with major BMS platforms, and strong documentation skills. On-site in Alachua, FL with competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in Automation/Controls Engineering in GMP pharma/biotech.
• Experience with BMS platforms and HVAC control sequences.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and P&IDs; change control experience in a quality-driven environment.
• Knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, and LonWorks.
• On-site presence in Alachua, FL.

Responsibilities

• Design, program, and commission PLC, DDC, and SCADA-based control logic for facility utilities.
• Manage BMS/EMS architecture and field-device communication.
• Develop and maintain Graphics/HMI screens for real-time facility visualization.
• Maintain GMP compliance and data integrity per 21 CFR Part 11.
• Lead investigations for environmental excursions and root-cause analysis in control logic/hardware.
• Draft and execute IQ/OQ protocols for software upgrades and new hardware.
