Sbhonline in Jersey City, NJ is seeking an on-site Product Sourcing Manager to lead the sourcing of battery-powered lawn and garden equipment and manage global vendor relationships. You will guide development and production cycles to ensure cost efficiency, quality, safety, and timely delivery.

The role requires 5+ years in sourcing with strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills, plus willingness to travel to Asia and to work onsite at our Jersey City headquarters.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering (electronics) strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of sourcing and vendor management experience for battery-powered products at a major US consumer products company.
• Strong negotiation and networking skills.
• Analytical, data-driven with strong numerical skills.
• Outstanding communication abilities.
• Up to date with trends in residential power-garden tools.
• Willingness to travel to China and other parts of Asia 3–4 times per year.
• Fully onsite at Jersey City headquarters.

Responsibilities

• Source battery-powered residential lawn and garden equipment from top manufacturers around the world.
• Build category and product portfolio across relevant subcategories.
• Be creative, shop out the category and identify line-extension opportunities.
• Analyze market, identify white spaces and establish brand positioning.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies with vendors in Asia.
• Track and report metrics to reduce expenses and improve efficiency.
• Negotiate strategies and close deals with vendor partners.
• Forecast price and market trends affecting supply and demand.
• Monitor market trends and conduct regular retail store shop-outs.
• Collaborate with sales and design teams on product concepts.
