Job summary

Base is America’s next-generation power company deploying distributed batteries to transform the grid. We seek a Global Supply Manager to source and own supplier relationships, support product development, and implement leading sourcing strategies across hardware manufacturing.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and logistics to execute the product roadmap and drive cost reduction while ensuring supply continuity and risk management across a global base.

Qualifications

• Background in sourcing board-level electronics with knowledge of cost drivers and lifecycle management.
• 3+ years sourcing experience in a similar role.
• Strong Excel and spreadsheet skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (average 25%).

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end RFx processes: scope requirements, issue RFQs, evaluate responses, award supplier.
• Build should-cost models to benchmark pricing and identify cost-down opportunities.
• Negotiate piece price, tooling, payment terms, and master agreements.
• Own senior supplier relationships and manage performance and escalations.
• Develop commodity strategies to optimize cost, continuity, and risk across a global base.
• Drive supplier readiness for ramp and ongoing manufacturing, including lead time and obsolescence management.
• Synthesize findings and present recommendations to engineering and executive stakeholders.
