Job summary

Mai Placement is seeking a Senior Product Sourcing & Development Manager to lead the end-to-end sourcing and development of battery-powered consumer products. This role drives innovation from concept through commercialization and requires deep experience sourcing from Asia while managing the full product lifecycle.

This on-site Jersey City position offers a highly strategic, hands-on environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

7+ years of product sourcing and product development experience.
Experience sourcing consumer products from China and other Asian manufacturers.
Strong vendor negotiation and supplier management skills.
Proven ability to identify new product opportunities and manage products from concept through production.

Responsibilities

Source and develop new battery-powered consumer products.
Build relationships with global manufacturing partners.
Negotiate pricing, tooling, MOQ's, production timelines, and quality standards.
Identify market opportunities and recommend new product launches.
Manage the complete product development lifecycle.
Partner with engineering, design, packaging, sales, and sourcing teams.
Monitor competitive products, pricing, and consumer trends.
Travel internationally to factories and supplier meetings (approximately 2x year)
