Illumina, Inc. seeks an Onsite Field Service Engineer to install, diagnose, repair, and upgrade complex instruments at customer sites in the Houston area. You will deliver hands-on service, build strong relationships, and promote instrument uptime.

You will report findings, perform validations, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product performance while maintaining security and quality standards. Excellent communication is essential.

Qualificações

• Requires a Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of related experience.
• 2-6 years of relevant experience servicing Illumina products.
• Self-motivated with strong problem-solving ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Biotech/biomedical knowledge or military experience.
• Familiarity with field optical alignments, robotics, electrical/electronics, and mechanical systems.
• Technical knowledge of computer hardware, Windows OS, and networking.
• Planning, scheduling, and prioritization skills.

Responsabilidades

• Install, repair, and maintain Illumina platforms.
• Troubleshoot complex customer problems on site.
• Schedule tasks to maximize instrument uptime and satisfaction.
• Complete post repair/install validation as required.
• Manage SFDC case workflow within guidelines.
• Build and strengthen customer relationships at accounts.
• Lead equipment upgrades and new installations.
• Access and utilize service manuals, SOPs, and remote connectivity tools.
• Escalate repairs as needed and serve as primary contact for escalation.
• Generate instrument failure reports and analyze data to prevent downtime.
• Lead site meetings reporting on performance metrics.
• Collaborate with NSST and product support for improvements.
• Coordinate rotational support locally or from other regions.
• Mentor other Field Service Engineers and provide onsite training.
