Job summary

Illumina is seeking an Onsite Field Service Engineer for Houston, TX to install, diagnose, repair, and maintain Illumina platforms at customer sites. You will troubleshoot complex issues, ensure high instrument uptime, and manage administrative tasks while building strong customer relationships.

The role requires 2–6 years of relevant experience, a Bachelor’s degree (advanced degrees preferred), and strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with related experience.
• 2–6 years of relevant experience servicing Illumina products.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain Illumina platforms on site.
• Troubleshoot diverse customer-reported problems and maintain uptime.
• Schedule and perform upgrades and new installations.
• Manage administrative tasks (SFDC) and customer relationships.
• Escalate repairs when needed and communicate status to customers.
