Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Generator Technician to join their Navy-supporting team in Indian Head, Maryland. This is a full-time, on-site role with a 7:30 AM–3:30 PM schedule, Monday through Friday.

You will operate, monitor, and maintain diesel, natural gas, and propane generators, and perform testing and emergency exercises. You will troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, fuel, cooling, and control system issues, leveraging experience with and knowledge of power generation equipment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience maintaining and repairing commercial, industrial, or mission critical generator systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience troubleshooting diesel engine systems, electrical controls, and power generation equipment.
• Ability to obtain DoD secret security clearance; prior federal building experience is a plus.
• Associates degree or higher in facilities maintenance or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain diesel, natural gas, and propane powered generators.
• Perform operational testing and load bank testing; conduct emergency power system exercises.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, fuel, cooling, and control system issues.
