The position focuses on delivering excellent customer service in an outpatient setting, managing patient information, and coordinating with providers to ensure smooth patient flow and timely care.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• Basic familiarity with computers; ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a primary point of contact for patients and visitors in an outpatient unit; provides excellent customer service.
• Takes complete and accurate information from patients/callers and facilitates communication to providers; prepares schedules, medical records, and documents.
• Performs check-in, registration, and verification of demographics; confirms insurance-related items and collects co-payments.
• Monitors patient flow and acts as liaison to ensure smooth operation and service delivery.
• Processes patient check-out, schedules follow-up appointments and related tests; provides educational materials as indicated.
