Job summary

Altec Industries in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Recruiter to join our team onsite. You will partner with hiring managers and HR partners to support staffing across service, leadership, and support functions while delivering an exceptional candidate experience.

You will manage full-cycle recruiting, develop job postings, source candidates, extend offers, and ensure compliant, timely communication. Travel up to 25% may be required to support enterprise-wide recruitment initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 4+ years of related experience with a HS diploma/GED.
• HR experience required.
• HR Certification preferred (SHRM or HRCI)

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers, HR Business Partners, and operational leaders to understand workforce planning needs and position requirements.
• Attract, evaluate, and refer candidates through various sourcing methods.
• Develop job advertisements and screen resumes/applications.
• Manage full-cycle recruiting: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offers, and candidate communication.
• Take ownership of recruitment for assigned openings and ensure timely fills.
• Extend offers and negotiate compensation within guidelines.
• Deliver an exceptional candidate experience with timely communication and follow-up.
• Maintain recruiting documentation and ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
• May facilitate orientation for new employees and conduct exit interviews.
