Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions in Holt, Michigan, is seeking a Machine Operator for Forging Press to form parts from billets and die blocks per standard work instructions in a high-precision environment.

You will set up and run 2nd/3rd hit parts, troubleshoot die issues, review production schedules, and ensure quality through GD&T and metrology tools, while maintaining 6S housekeeping and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing preferred.
• 3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Responsibilities

• Operate the forging press to form parts per standard work instructions.
• Set up and run 2nd and 3rd hit parts in main cells.
• Troubleshoot die issues and escalate as needed to technicians.
• Review production schedule and adhere to quality procedures.
• Perform housekeeping per 6S schedule and maintain safety standards.
