Job summary

Orchid Orthopedic Solutions is seeking a Machine Operator, Forging Press at our Lansing facility to form parts using billets and die blocks per standard work. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards within a manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of machining experience, preference for Lean Manufacturing, and familiarity with GD&T and blueprint reading. The position supports 6S housekeeping and requires compliance with QMS procedures, with

Qualifications

• Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Experience in Medical Device Manufacturing preferred.
• 3+ years of machining experience in a manufacturing environment required.

Responsibilities

• Operate forging press to form parts per standard work.
• Set up and run 2nd and 3rd hit parts with minimal supervision.
• Train staff on Standard Work and assist with production schedule.
• Complete DHR documents and IPIS forms correctly.
• Maintain housekeeping per 6S schedule.
• Monitor machine performance and perform daily maintenance.
