Job summary

Vallen Distribution, Inc. is seeking an Onsite Service Technician I focused on Instrument, Fire, and Respiratory safety services in the Houston, Texas area.

You will perform inspections, testing, maintenance and repairs on life safety equipment for established customers on a scheduled basis. The role requires basic mechanical aptitude, a high school diploma or GED, and at least 1 year of related experience, plus relevant certifications and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Must be mechanically inclined with ability to operate and repair safety equipment.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English in a technical context.
• Knowledge of basic regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA) and SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, maintenance and repairs on safety equipment.
• Conduct service calls and document results with Technician Worksheets (TWS).
• Identify equipment discrepancies and communicate necessary actions to customers.
• Provide customer service for life safety equipment (fire extinguishers, hose, gas detection monitors, respirators, fall protection, eyewash).
• Assist in shipping/receiving and order processing as needed.
