Job summary

Freudenberg Group is seeking an on-site Field Service professional to install, inspect, and commission mechanical equipment at customer sites. You will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose issues, and execute corrective repairs with a focus on reliability and uptime.

You will read drawings and use diagnostic tools while communicating results to customers and ensuring satisfaction. Travel, safety, and accurate reporting are essential to success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be located in one of the listed metropolitan areas (Chicago, New York, Orlando, Atlanta, Miami, Dallas, Houston, Denver).
• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
• 2+ years of field service, mechanical, industrial maintenance, or related experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and service documentation.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, commission, and start up mechanical and electromechanical equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance, diagnose equipment failures, and complete corrective repairs to maximize equipment performance.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, manuals, and work instructions using diagnostic tools.
• Serve as the primary on-site company representative, communicating findings and solutions while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Adhere to safety requirements and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Complete accurate service reports and identify additional service opportunities for product and process improvements.
