Job summary

ABB is seeking a Resident Service Technician to deliver high-quality technical support at customer sites, performing installations, maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

The role is onsite at the customer location with up to 15% travel for training and inter-site support. You will apply electrical/electronics expertise and safety standards under the Service Center Manager-AUPI West Region.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 7+ years related work experience with HS diploma.
• Ability to use voltmeters or multi-meters and identify 240 VAC/870 VDC systems.
• Read electrical drawings and troubleshoot electrical systems up to 240 VAC/870 VDC.

Responsibilities

• Execute service work per instructions, following ABB quality and safety guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve customer operations while on-site.
• Perform field service tasks and analysis for certified products and categories.
• Prepare material lists and ensure availability of parts and equipment.
