Job summary

Segra is seeking a qualified Construction Technician (Raleigh NC) for a full-time, in-office role. The CT will supervise contractors, plan and oversee field construction across multiple sites, and report progress to project leadership to ensure timelines are met.

Role includes on-call rotation and strict adherence to safety and quality standards. Ideal candidates have 2 years of related construction experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Excel/Office tools.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fiber, Telecommunications, ROW, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to lead a crew to completion of work on schedule and within budget.
• Excellent understanding of construction and permitting prints.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting inventory/material usage during construction cycle.
• Assist with identification and troubleshooting of construction problems and provide timely and safe solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good planning and organization to balance and prioritize work.
• Some travel will be expected, both overnight and daily travel.
• Basic experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site construction activities and supervise contractors.
• Plan and oversee construction efforts at multiple sites within the designated market.
• Report field progress to the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager to ensure timelines.
• Ensure quality and adherence to company standards and best practices throughout the construction cycle.
• Be on 24x7 on-call on a rotational basis.
