Segra is seeking a qualified Construction Technician to supervise field construction activities in Raleigh, NC. The role supports multiple sites and ensures contractors perform according to plans and schedules.

The Construction Technician reports to the Construction/Project Manager, monitors progress, and upholds Segra’s quality standards. This full-time position includes on-call duties and potential travel to various sites within the market.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fiber, Telecommunications, ROW, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to lead a crew to complete work on schedule, meeting customer requirements and budget.
• Excellent understanding of construction and permitting prints.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting inventory/material usage during construction cycle.
• Assist with identifying and troubleshooting construction problems with safe solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good planning and organization to balance and prioritize work.
• Some travel expected, including overnight and daily travel.
• Basic experience using Microsoft Excel formulations, Word, Outlook.

Segra is searching for a qualified and experienced Construction Technician (Raleigh NC) to join us in a full-time capacity.

Location Requirement

The work arrangement for this role is in office onsite 5 days each week.

Role Overview

The Construction Technician will oversee the construction activities that take place on the worksite and will be primarily responsible for the supervision of construction contractors in the field. The Construction Technician will plan, implement, and oversee construction efforts at several work sites within their designated market.

The Construction Technician will report on field progress to the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager to ensure all projects are completed within the parameters set forth in the estimated timeline. The CT will be responsible for the quality of construction activities and ensure company standards and best practices are being used throughout the construction cycle. The CT will be part of the 24x7 on call on a rotational basis.

Qualifications

Salary Range

$27.22 - $33.97
