Job summary

Segra is seeking a qualified Construction Technician in Raleigh, NC, to join us in a full-time onsite role. You will oversee field construction activities, supervise contractors, plan and implement efforts across multiple sites, and report progress to the Construction Manager to meet timelines.

The position requires 2 years of fiber/telecom construction experience, leadership ability, and strong knowledge of prints.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fiber, Telecommunications, ROW, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to effectively lead a crew to complete projects on schedule, meeting customer requirements and budget guidelines.
• Excellent understanding of construction and permitting prints.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting inventory/material usage during construction cycle.
• Assist with identification and troubleshooting of construction problems and provide timely and safe solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Some travel is expected, including overnight and daily travel.
• Basic experience using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities on worksites and supervise construction contractors in the field.
• Plan, implement, and oversee construction efforts across multiple sites within the designated market.
• Report field progress to the Construction Manager and/or Project Manager to ensure adherence to timelines.
• Ensure quality of construction activities and compliance with company standards and best practices.
• Participate in on-call rotations as required.
