Segra is seeking a qualified Construction Technician to manage field construction activities in Raleigh, NC. The role requires directing crews, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring project timelines and quality standards are met.

The position is full-time and in-office on site 5 days a week, with travel as needed and rotation on-call responsibilities. This role emphasizes safety, budgeting, and effective communication with project teams.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fiber, Telecommunications, ROW, or relevant construction experience.
• Effective crew leadership to meet schedule, customer requirements and budgets.
• Strong understanding of construction and permitting prints.
• Assist with inventory usage monitoring during construction.
• Identify and troubleshoot construction problems; provide safe solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong planning and organizational abilities.
• Some travel expected (overnight and daily).
• Basic experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities on the worksite and supervise contractors.
• Plan and oversee construction efforts at multiple sites in the designated market.
• Report field progress to the Construction/Project Manager to meet timelines.
• Ensure quality and adherence to Segra standards and best practices.
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation as needed.
