Job summary

Evergy’s Field Construction Coordinator at Wolf Creek Nuclear Generating Station in Burlington, KS, supports the day-to-day construction projects under supervision. You will work with Project Managers, Engineers and craft teams to ensure constructability, safety, and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes inspecting installations, maintaining logs, coordinating with supervisors, and ensuring compliance with WCNOC procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and 12 years of related experience.
• Related experience is construction field experience supporting Project Managers and Construction Supervision overseeing medium to large projects.
• A degree in Project / Construction Management, Construction Science, or Construction Engineering Technology preferred.
• Familiarity with construction methods.
• Effective communication skills including verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Proven ability to work independently and in a team.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills.
• Computer skills - Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Work with Project Managers, Project Engineers and Design Engineers to identify constructability issues early in design phases.
• Attend constructability meetings and assist with project requirements.
• Inspect/oversee construction to ensure compliance with procedures and design requirements.
• Inspect all phases of construction projects (trenching, pipe, structures, electrical installations, etc.).
• Communicate project information effectively to the project team.
• Assist Craft Superintendents with storage and tracking of materials.
• Lead shift meetings to communicate plan of the day, safety, quality points, and assignments.
