Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Nuclear Principal Engineer to provide safety analysis and core design support for Wolf Creek Generating Station. You will perform complex engineering analyses, contribute to fuel reload design, and help transition WCNOC methodologies to Westinghouse standards.

The role requires a Nuclear Engineering degree (or Physics), 10+ years of experience, and unescorted access; it offers a hybrid work arrangement with 2 days onsite per week at WCGS in Burlington,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Nuclear preferred) or Physics.
• 10+ years of applicable experience.
• Unescorted access at Wolf Creek Generating Station will be required.
• Develop procedures and communicate statuses, problem resolutions and recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety analysis engineering efforts at Wolf Creek Generating Station (WCGS).
• Conduct complex design and analyses in the nuclear industry and provide technical input and written documents.
• Support transition of WCNOC core design and safety analysis methodology to Westinghouse methodology.
• Ensure daily customer satisfaction in fuel reload design and safety analysis support.
