Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking Field Engineers and Lead Field Engineers to join our Engineering Team focused on carbon-free technologies. You will be a job-site leader, reporting to the Project Manager, ensuring health, safety, and quality, and supporting construction execution on DOE and advanced nuclear projects.

We seek Field Engineers of all disciplines and will place you in ID Falls, ID on an active DOE construction site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• 2–5+ years of construction field experience.
• Experience supporting or leading engineering and construction activities.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to safety, ethics, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Field Operations: interpret drawings and specifications for construction crews; support field layout, surveying, and as-built documentation; coordinate labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor activities; assist with work packages, quantity tracking, scheduling, and production reporting; lead safety meetings and jobsite safety reviews.
• Project Controls & Administration: maintain RFIs, daily reports, project correspondence, and project records; support schedule updates, cost tracking, and job-cost reporting; assist with change orders, contract administration, and project documentation; support procurement activities and subcontract administration.
• Estimating Support: perform quantity takeoffs and review plans and specifications; analyze project risks and historical cost data; assist with bid preparation and estimate development.
