Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking a Field Construction Manager in Orange, CT to lead and oversee contractor activities on Electric Utility projects. You will coordinate with the Owner and Project Manager, maintain on-site documentation, and ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and design standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction and 4+ years of Electric Utility experience, with travel willingness and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction preferred.
• 4+ years of Electric Transmission, Distribution or Substation experience required.
• OSHA 10 or 30 preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions required.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; working knowledge of the Electric Utility Industry.
• Willingness to travel and strong verbal/written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the Project Manager for day-to-day operations.
• Ensure contractor obligation and adherence to design plans, change orders, RFIs, MOC, etc.
• Document contractor day-to-day activities.
• Demonstrate leadership in health, safety and environmental protection on the project.
• Maintain onsite written records and photographs to document the project to client standards.
• Ensure installation complies with Construction Standards, manuals, and laws.
