Job summary

Flowserve US Inc. is seeking an Application Engineer to support pumps and seals across oil and chemical industries. You will troubleshoot on customer sites and at our Detroit repair center, delivering technical guidance and recommendations for repairs, upgrades, or replacements.

You'll work closely with sales, reliability, service and manufacturing teams, communicating complex technical concepts clearly and maintaining accurate data and documentation, with some travel.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• In-plant operations experience highly desired.
• Knowledge of mechanical seals and rotating equipment, especially centrifugal and liquid ring vacuum pumps, required.
• Must have a strong customer focus and Team player.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate customer needs to Flowserve and be the primary source of information on design, installation, operation, and maintenance of pumps and mechanical seals.
• Act as liaison between customers and Flowserve’s sales, reliability, service, and manufacturing teams.
• Troubleshoot technical problems at customer sites and at the repair center.
• Prepare reports like failure analyses and product performance reports.
• Evaluate data to support recommendations for equipment replacement or repair.
