Job summary

Flowserve US Inc. in El Paso, TX is seeking an Application Engineer to support design, manufacturing, installation and operation of pumps and mechanical seals at customer sites in oil and chemical industries.

The AE provides real-time technical support, trouble shoots problems onsite and at our Detroit repair center, and recommends repairs or upgrades. You will liaise with sales engineers and reliability teams, prepare performance reports, and help standardize installation procedures.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent required.
• Operations experience in plants preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical seals and rotating equipment.
• Strong customer focus and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary technical liaison with customers on design, installation, operation, and maintenance of pumps and seals.
• Troubleshoot problems at customer sites and in-house repair center.
• Prepare reports and analyses to support repairs, upgrades, or replacements.
• Present technical explanations to customers tailored to the audience.
• Maintain data in engineering systems and process change notices.
