Job summary

Segra is seeking a qualified Construction Technician in Charlotte, NC for a full-time, in-office role. The CT will oversee construction activities, supervise contractors in the field, and plan and oversee efforts across multiple sites within the market.

Reporting to the Construction/Project Manager, the CT ensures quality, adherence to timelines, and compliance with company standards. The position includes 24x7 on-call rotation as part of the role.

Qualifications

• 2 years of fiber, Telecommunications, ROW, or relevant construction experience.
• Ability to effectively lead a crew to the completion of and in conformance with schedule, customer requirements and budget guidelines.
• Excellent understanding of construction and permitting prints.
• Assist in monitoring and reporting inventory/material usage during construction cycle.
• Assist with the identification and troubleshooting of construction problems and offer timely and safe solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good planning and organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
• Some travel will be expected, both overnight and daily travel
• Basic experience using Microsoft Excel formulations, Word, Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Oversee construction activities on the worksite and supervise contractors in the field.
• Plan, implement, and oversee construction efforts at multiple sites within the designated market.
• Report field progress to the Construction Manager/Project Manager to meet timelines.
• Ensure construction quality and adherence to company standards and best practices.
• Be on 24x7 on-call on a rotational basis.
