Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for a Boston-based startup focused on AI and IoT-driven industrial automation. You will deploy and optimize factory-floor solutions across Food & Beverage sectors, working hands-on with PLCs, sensors, and IT/OT integration.

The role combines engineering, customer engagement, and real-world impact, with 3 days per week on-site and significant interaction with global brands, offering rapid growth in a fast-paced startup

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
1+ year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or factory environment (food & beverage, chemicals, pharma, etc.).
Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customer stakeholders.
Exposure to industrial systems such as PLCs, sensors, or plant operations.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

Deploy on-site hardware and troubleshoot deployments.
Coordinate pilots and manage project logistics.
Collaborate with customers, sales and internal teams to ensure successful deployments.
