Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners LLC is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer for a Boston-based startup focused on AI and IoT-driven industrial automation. You will deploy and optimize factory-floor solutions across Food & Beverage sectors, working hands-on with PLCs, sensors, and IT/OT integration.

The role combines engineering, customer engagement, and real-world impact, with 3 days per week on-site and significant interaction with global brands, offering rapid growth in a fast-paced startup

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 1+ year of hands-on experience in a manufacturing or factory environment (food & beverage, chemicals, pharma, etc.).
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with customer stakeholders.
• Exposure to industrial systems such as PLCs, sensors, or plant operations.
• Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Responsibilities

• Deploy on-site hardware and troubleshoot deployments.
• Coordinate pilots and manage project logistics.
• Collaborate with customers, sales and internal teams to ensure successful deployments.

This is a full-time opportunity for a Forward Deployed Engineer supporting deployments across the Food & Beverage sector. The company is building cutting-edge AI co-pilot models and sensor-based solutions that optimize factory performance, reduce waste, and drive sustainability across global production environments. 3 days per week onsite.

Daily Responsibilities

• 60% Hands On (on-site deployments, troubleshooting, implementation)
• 10% Management Duties (project coordination, pilot execution)
• 30% Team Collaboration (working with customers, sales, and internal teams)
