Job summary

SFMOMA San Francisco Museum of Modern Art seeks a Facilities Manager for the Collections Center in South San Francisco. This full-time, onsite role leads facilities services, coordinates vendors, and supports capital improvements for a vibrant museum campus.

Reporting to the Director of Facilities and Operations, you will manage service requests, ensure safety and documentation, and collaborate with HR and IT to meet staff needs. Four days at CC, one day at Third Street.

Qualifications

• Minimum of four years of experience in facilities operations or a related role.
• Experience coordinating vendors and service providers to ensure work is completed to standard.
• Experience supporting capital improvement projects and on-site construction coordination.
• Strong customer-service mindset with ability to balance responsiveness with safety and operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day facilities activities at the Collections Center to keep spaces clean, safe, and functional.
• Coordinate access, scheduling, and on-site support for vendors and service providers.
• Support planning and execution of capital improvement projects in partnership with leadership.
• Own service-request intake, triage, tracking, and timely updates to requestors.
• Partner with Operations, People (HR), IT and other stakeholders to address workplace needs.
• Maintain documentation, safety compliance, and routine reporting.

Education

High school diploma or GED

Associate degree / trade school preferred

Relevant certifications (facilities, safety, building systems, project coordination)
