Job summary

San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) is seeking Visitor Experience Assistants to deliver an exemplary, welcoming, and inclusive museum visit. Part Time, temporary (4 months), fully onsite, reporting to Visitor Experience managers, you will support guests and cross-functional teams to ensure a world-class experience.

Responsibilities include ticketing, memberships, data integrity, cash handling, and crowd management, with a strong emphasis on service standards and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, hospitality, art history or related fields a plus.
• Minimum 3 years in fast-paced customer service retail, hospitality, or arts environment.
• At least 1 year experience as a cashier or operating a POS system.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and answer questions about visit, amenities, exhibitions and programs.
• Sell tickets for museum, exhibitions and events.
• Promote and upgrade membership levels and gift memberships, help achieve sales goals.
• Maintain membership records and benefits, ensure data accuracy.
