Job summary

Stanford University’s Cantor Arts Center and Anderson Collection are seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee operations of the university’s art museums. The role is hybrid, with a minimum of four days on campus in Palo Alto, including night/weekend work as needed for emergencies.

The position reports to the Deputy Director and involves managing maintenance budgets, coordinating services and renovations, and supervising one staff member while ensuring safety, security, and effective facility

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three years related facilities management experience.
• Analytical and interpersonal skills with mature judgment.
• Experience coordinating multiple projects.
• Experience with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and MS Project.

Responsibilities

• Serve as property operations/maintenance point of contact for Cantor and Anderson; manage maintenance budget and coordinate routine services.
• Coordinate and monitor renovations, track metrics, and provide program planning input.
• Handle property administration including tagging, data entry, inventory, and purchase orders.
• Implement facility security programs and manage access controls and alarms.
• Coordinate communications services and space management; supervise one direct report.
