Job summary

828 Venue Management Company is seeking a part-time Venue Event Captain to lead onsite operations and guest experience at Indianapolis venues. You will oversee beverage service, vendor coordination, and ensure safety and readiness during events.

As the primary venue representative, you will manage event flow, resolve issues in real time, and collaborate with operations teams to meet service standards. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in hospitality, events, or food & beverage preferred.
• Previous bartending experience required and available evenings/weekends.
• Must have alcohol service certification and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary onsite venue representative during assigned event shifts.
• Deliver hospitality to clients, guests, vendors, and partners throughout events.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize disruptions.
• Support operations lead in executing events per company standards and client expectations.
• Assist with event flow and operational priorities as needed.
• Open and close the venue according to procedures.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and readiness before, during, and after events.
• Document event details, incidents, staffing, and operational concerns.
