Job summary

Veolia North America is seeking a hazardous waste technician to provide hazardous and non-hazardous waste services at client facilities, ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations. This role may require training at multiple sites and reporting to different work locations.

The position emphasizes 2–4 years of related experience, a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, OSHA Hazwoper certification, and a CDL.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• 2-4 years of industry experience and customer service preferred.
• OSHA 40 hour Hazwoper Certification.
• Commercial Driver's License Class A or B.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional image with clients by answering inquiries and suggesting solutions.
• Manage onsite customer's hazardous and non-hazardous waste needs per the contract.
• Comply with environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
• Ensure completion and accuracy of all US DOT/EPA paperwork.
• Operate and maintain all equipment in a safe manner to complete projects on time.
• Understand contract terms and follow through on assignments.
• Travel to various job-sites within a 90-minute radius of Raleigh.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
