Job summary

WM is seeking a field supervisor to coordinate all onsite activities at client locations related to the storage, transport, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes, ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations.

The role supervises onsite personnel, liaises with clients and vendors, and upholds safety and environmental standards while supporting invoicing and contract-related tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or higher in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business or related field (or in lieu of degree)
• High School Diploma or GED and 2 years of relevant work experience
• 1 year of relevant work experience (in addition to the education requirement)
• Must have valid Driver's License
• RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience
• 24-hour HAZWOPER certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days)
• Manifesting and profiling hazardous and non-hazardous waste experience
• Pre-assignment drug/alcohol testing may be required by customer contracts

Responsibilities

• Operate an articulated water truck, dump truck and dozer
• Coordinate logistics for transportation of hazardous, universal, and non-hazardous waste from client sites
• Ensure compliance with client and government regulations through inspections and reporting
• Assist with client and vendor invoicing, reporting and contracts
• Promote safety by training site personnel to meet regulatory requirements
