Job summary

WM is seeking a manager to plan and direct onsite activities related to storage, transport, and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous wastes in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will lead onsite personnel, coordinate with vendors, and ensure safety standards are met.

The role requires coordinating logistics, maintaining client relationships, and overseeing invoicing and contracts while promoting a culture of safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Sciences, Accounting, Business or related field (or in lieu of degree).
• High School Diploma or GED with 4 years of relevant work experience.
• 2 years of relevant work experience in addition to education.
• HAZWOPER Certification Upon Hire.
• RCRA and DOT regulatory compliance experience Upon Hire.
• OSHA 24-Hour Certification Upon Hire.
• Pre-assignment and/or pre-hire drug/alcohol testing may be required. Must be able to live and work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate logistics for transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste from client site, including profiling, scheduling, manifesting and loading.
• Consult with client to identify, design and implement cost-saving opportunities and proposals.
• Establish clear communication channels with team and subcontractors using email, chat and video conferencing.
• Prioritize urgent requests and communicate delays or changes to customers.
• Use CRM and scheduling software to streamline processes and coordinate services with subcontractors.
• Provide excellent customer service, take ownership of issues and resolve them quickly.
• Ensure compliance with client and government regulations via inspections and reporting.
• Administer client and vendor financial obligations including invoicing and contracts.
• Promote safety culture by training site personnel to comply with regulations.
