Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking an entry-level Recruiter for a contract, onsite role based in Chicago, IL. The role supports high-volume sourcing, interviews, offers, and onboarding for university hiring teams during peak periods.

You will work under close supervision, following established processes to deliver a positive candidate experience and accurate administration across the recruitment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 6 months–2 years of experience in a high-volume sourcing.
• Experience supporting offer processing, transfers, or similar employment transactions.
• Knowledge of recruiting concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform recruiting and administrative tasks.
• Strong attention to detail in handling candidate information, offers, and employee status changes.
• Experience with recruiting and sourcing activities, including outreach and pipeline management.
• Knowledge in talent acquisition or recruiting coordination, with exposure to full-cycle recruitment support.
• Ability to work under immediate supervision and report to a supervisor or manager.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with candidates and hiring teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Customer-focused mindset, delivering a positive candidate and stakeholder experience.
• Bachelors degree in a relevant field is required.
• Experience as a recruiting coordinator or in a similar talent acquisition support role.
• Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and requisitions simultaneously while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain clear documentation and records.
• Interest in supporting university hiring programs and seasonal peak recruitment cycles.S

Responsibilities

• Source candidates proactively to build strong talent pipelines for high-volume hiring needs.
• Reach out to potential candidates and engage them throughout the process.
• Keep candidates warm and engaged between interview stages with timely communication.
• Conduct candidate interviews and assess qualifications per guidelines.
• Check candidate references as part of pre-employment screening.
• Extend job offers and communicate details and next steps.
• Answer questions from candidates and hiring teams about process and expectations.
• Support new hire orientation for smooth onboarding.
• Perform exit interviews and document feedback.
• Process changes in employee status with accuracy.
• Follow established recruiting processes for consistency and compliance.
• Collaborate with supervisors, hiring managers, and university recruiting to meet peak demands.
• Maintain attention to detail in all administrative tasks, including offers and data entry.
• Manage multiple requisitions and pipelines in a fast-paced environment.
• Provide a customer-obsessed experience to candidates and stakeholders through professional communication.
