Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Cedar Rapids, IA, is seeking an Engineering Project Assistant to provide on-site hardware development support for the ACTT department. You will handle ordering and tracking parts, BOM creation, and parts routing while coordinating builds and short-lead-time requests.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong attention to detail, able to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working with engineers, technicians, and purchasing to keep

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or AA/AS with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required for security clearance eligibility.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication and project coordination skills.
• Experience with customer support and service.

Responsibilities

• Ordering and tracking parts to support hardware builds.
• BOM creation and maintenance.
• Tracking short lead time simulations, routes and reports.
• Facilitating PREP reviews and releasing drawings/documents.
• Tracking Customer Owned Property (COPS) and coordinating shipments.
• General support to engineering teams and documentation edits.
• Interface with technicians, engineers and managers to coordinate work.
• Support Bid & Proposal processes and bid reviews.
