Job summary

GALLO is offering a 6-month, full-time internship in our Engineering department at onsite locations in California. Interns will work 40 hours per week on projects across Facilities, Reliability & Maintenance, Bottling, Cellar, and Supply Chain Engineering.

Candidates must be enrolled in or have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Engineering Management and be available for the full duration, including evenings and weekends as needed. Travel may be required, up to 5% of the time.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a college pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Management or possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Management.
• Available for the entire duration of the internship program (6 consecutive months).
• Requires availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Execute projects following established project management processes while upholding safety and quality standards.
• Learn how to operate equipment and develop training materials, including SOPs, time studies, equipment capability and repeatability studies.
• Work on Engineering teams to identify issues, collect supporting data, develop and present improvement ideas, and implement solutions.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis investigations when unplanned downtime occurs.
• Develop and maintain relationships between suppliers, engineers, planners, storeroom, mechanics and production line workers.
• Present findings to other functions within the company and seek feedback.
• Multi-task and prioritize time appropriately between different projects.
