Job summary

Gallo Glass Company in Modesto, California, is seeking an Engineering Intern to work alongside seasoned engineers and drive hands-on projects in a high-speed glass manufacturing setting.

The internship runs January through June 2027 and requires enrollment in an Engineering program or a Bachelor’s degree. Availability for evenings/weekends is needed, with on-site work at the Modesto facility.

A Taste of What You\'ll Do

Join Gallo Glass Company in Modesto, California, where innovation, manufacturing excellence, and continuous improvement come together to create world-class glass packaging solutions. As an Engineering Intern, you\'ll work alongside experienced engineers and technical leaders while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic production environment that directly supports one of the world\'s largest family-owned wineries.

In this role, you\'ll contribute to meaningful engineering projects while building practical skills in manufacturing, process improvement, and problem solving. Opportunities may include supporting Hot End Forming, Cold End Inspection, Furnace/Batch, or Warehouse operations, where you\'ll help identify opportunities for improvement, analyze data, and assist with implementing solutions that drive operational performance.

You\'ll gain exposure to project management, process design, equipment start-ups, commissioning activities, continuous improvement initiatives, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Working collaboratively with engineers, suppliers, and production teams, you\'ll help develop standardized work processes, conduct studies, support equipment optimization, and contribute to projects that create real business impact while accelerating your professional growth.

What You\'ll Need

• Currently enrolled at a college or university and working towards a Bachelor’s degree in the School of Engineering; or have obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the School of Engineering.
• Requires availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
• Available for the entire duration of this internship program – January through June 2027.

• Familiarity with statistical software.
• Basic knowledge of statistical analysis methods.

• We offer a broad salary range to allow for long-term growth. Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Although we estimate the successful candidate hired into this role will be placed between the entry point and middle of the range, the decision will be made on a case-by-case basis related to these factors. In addition to the salary, this position may be eligible for bonuses, incentive plans, or participate in tasting room tip pools, as applicable.
