Job summary

PowerFlex, an EDF Renewables company, is seeking an experienced Field Technician to provide on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and troubleshooting for EVSE, solar PV, and BESS equipment in the San Diego area.

You will collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver best-in-class service, uphold safety standards, and ensure equipment reliability across a growing portfolio of energy assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent field.
• 5+ years electrical engineering experience.
• 2+ years experience with EVSE.
• Experience with solar PV, BESS, or DERs preferred.
• Hands-on hardware experience in lab or professional environment.
• Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and MS Office.
• Valid Driver's License with annual MVR checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site diagnostics, repair, and preventive maintenance of EVSE, solar PV, and BESS equipment.
• Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Develop and implement field configuration and maintenance procedures for solar and BESS systems.
• Serve as onsite technical expert and use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot faults.
• Maintain accurate service documentation and provide field insights for improvements.
• Manage field inventory and parts replenishment for the region.
• Support commissioning of new charging sites and end-to-end testing.
