ExcelliSearch, Inc. in North Syracuse, NY is seeking an Embedded Firmware Engineer to design and implement firmware for microcontroller-based systems used in HVAC/R and industrial applications.

This hands-on role requires strong C programming skills and experience with 8-, 16-, and 32-bit MCUs. You will work closely with electrical, mechanical, and test engineers to bring concepts to production, troubleshoot firmware-hardware interactions, and contribute to new product development throughout the

Qualifications

• Hands-on embedded C firmware experience is required.
• Strong understanding of microcontrollers, interrupts, timers and peripherals.
• Experience developing and debugging bare-metal embedded firmware.
• Ability to troubleshoot firmware-hardware interactions.
• Experience explaining embedded projects, challenges and solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, debug, and maintain embedded firmware using C.
• Develop firmware for 8/16/32-bit MCUs.
• Create control logic for sensors, relays, motors, and components.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers on product development and troubleshooting.
• Debug hardware and firmware with lab tools and scopes.
• Contribute to new product development, testing and validation.
• Troubleshoot existing products and support continuous improvement.
• Document code and participate in design reviews.
