Job summary

Onward Search Education is partnering with a Maricopa County school district to hire a Special Education Teacher for the 2026/2027 school year. This on-site elementary resource room role provides targeted instruction and support to help students access the general education curriculum.

Responsibilities include IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration with general education staff and families. Immediate start is available, with a competitive pay package and benefits.

Qualifications

• Special Education certification required or ability to obtain in Arizona.
• Knowledge of IEP development, compliance, and service delivery best practices.
• Strong collaboration and communication with students, families, and school teams.
• Ability to pass required background checks and onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized instruction in a resource room/pull-out setting (small group/individual).
• Develop and implement IEPs aligned to student needs and campus expectations.
• Deliver targeted interventions and progress-monitor toward IEP goals; maintain documentation.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to support accommodations and inclusive practices.
• Partner with families, related service providers, and campus teams to support student growth and compliance.
• Maintain a supportive, structured learning environment that promotes independence and confidence.
