Job summary

ABB is seeking a skilled technician to repair standard drive units and subassemblies in the Motion Service US unit. You will plan daily work, coordinate with team leads, and ensure high-quality repairs with cost-conscious decisions.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting components, executing tests and burn-in, and ensuring proper documentation and paperwork. Requires electronics training or equivalent experience; SAP experience preferred. Onsite role in the US.

Qualifications

• Requires an associate degree in electronics or a high school diploma with related electrical experience.
• Capable of passing ECAP level 3.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools and SAP/ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Review and plan daily work assignments for repairs.
• Process repair work orders for customer and production orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair standard drive units, subassemblies, and circuit boards; perform testing and burn-in as needed.
• Research BOMs and ECNs to identify required parts; coordinate with Inventory Planner.
