Job summary

Collins Aerospace in Largo, FL is seeking an Electronic Technician for our Mission Systems team. The role requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.

You will perform electrical tests, troubleshoot subassemblies and systems, and follow detailed schematics and test procedures. Responsibilities include operating environmental test chambers, performing soldering or mechanical tasks as needed, and preparing test reports.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under this program/contract.
• Pre-qualification test or exam may be required and updated periodically.
• Electronic Technology Certificate or higher credentials are required.
• AA/AS degree in Electrical or Electronics technology is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/EE or related field is preferred.
• Military electronics technical school certification is a plus.
• 4 years of documented professional or military troubleshooting experience in electronics.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical tests and troubleshoot subassemblies, assemblies, and systems per specifications.
• Read and follow prints, schematics, and test procedures accurately.
• Operate environmental test chambers to ensure product performance.
• May perform soldering or mechanical assembly as tests require.
• Prepare test reports and document any deviations or alterations needed.
• Move materials as directed and record discrepancies on subassemblies.
• Collect data and maintain records; handle hazardous materials according to regulations.
