Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a skilled field service engineer to perform turnkey installation and termination of electrical conduit, SS tubing, power/communication cabling, and hardware from transformer cabinets to monitoring products. The role demands both onsite and remote support, strong problem solving, and effective liaison with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; or high school diploma/GED with 5+ years field services and maintenance experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to analyze and resolve problems.
• Ability to plan, document, and execute programs.
• Established project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Install and service transformer monitoring equipment.
• Coordinate installation projects with customer contacts and GE teams.
• Troubleshoot to PCB level and resolve faults.
• Liaise with customers and internal teams for planning, execution and follow-up.
• Lead on-site work and provide technical direction to skilled labor.
• Provide on-site and remote installation/service, repairs, rebuilds across a range of equipment vintages.
• Generate timely, accurate, professional reports and documentation.
• Audit and implement quality control per standards.
