Job summary

GE Vernova is hiring a Field Service Support Technician to install, commission and service high voltage breakers and related equipment in substations and facilities across the US. You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, perform repairs, and coordinate with GE production and customers on-site.

The role requires traveling up to 80% within the US and abroad, reading electrical/mechanical drawings, supervising contractors, and completing detailed field reports.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in manufacturing or field service.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission GE high voltage equipment and related systems.
• Troubleshoot, repair, and adjust components in substations and equipment.
• Analyze information and select best solutions to resolve customer issues.
• Supervise contractors and GE field technicians on site.
• Complete field service reports, timecards and expense reports.
