Job summary

VIVA USA Inc. is seeking an experienced hardware engineer to design, simulate, bring-up and validate CPU/APU client system hardware across multiple platforms.

This onsite role focuses on robust designs and reliable validation cycles. You will review schematics, perform board-level simulations, debug issues, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime and ensure hardware readiness in a fast-paced environment in Austin, Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and PCB layouts; analyze technical specifications.
• Hands-on experience with PC hardware installation, BIOS configuration, and system troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Linux command-line and Windows environments; lab automation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review schematics and board layouts, run board-level simulations, analyze results and provide design feedback.
• Maintain test hardware and infrastructure across mobile, desktop, and workstation systems.
• Perform system-level hardware debug and analyze validation and test failures.
• Ensure systems are up to date, execute test plans, track results and troubleshoot to minimize downtime.
• Document results and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve hardware issues.
